WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER BUY PETS FROM PETSMART AND PETCO!!!

Please please please read this post, we need to spread awareness of the negligence and animal abuse going on at these money oriented mass market scam pet shops. I have made sure not to include the gory pics of the reality that these pet shops are because they may be disturbing but this just needs to be heard. Now I’m sorry in advance if this sounds ranty.

Reptile care: So I’m going to base this solely off of leopard gecko care, just ONE small very hardy lizard. THEY GET EVERYTHING WRONG on their guides! Ok, so lemme just tell you this: they cohabit leopard geckos, they keep them on SAND, they provide a super wrong diet, they only give ONE HIDE, and they keep them in tiny tanks for a very long time. Now this is sending a VERY wrong idea of how they should be taken care of. Instead of care guide it should be: how to kill your gecko in a matter of weeks. They don’t deserve to be given this quality of life. Now some of you may be new to reptiles so I’ll explain why this is so horrible: if leopard geckos are kept together, they will kill each other. Those pics you see of them “cuddling” is them showing dominance, they will hurt each other. Sand gets into their system and blocks their intestine tract, literally poisoning the lizard. WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT??? They give a leopard gecko a bowl full of worms, that die off so soon that they starve. Giving them a bowl full of worms is horrible, it’s like giving someone ten cheeseburgers once a week, but they only get to eat one cause the rest of them rot. Don’t they see how messed up this is? Ok, and ONE HiDE? I mean are you serious? If a gecko doesn’t have different hides to regulate their temp, I mean their cold blooded, so they can’t do that themselves. They just die cause it’s too hot, and a minimum wage employee won’t bother to change their temp. THIS IS SO WRONG. AND IM JUST GETTING StARTED.

Dog care: Ok, their dog care IS SO MeSsEd UP. Many dogs have DIED getting their nails clipped or getting groomed at petsmart or petco. The negligence of the employees if just unbelievable. There have been many covered up news stories that just aren’t being heard by people. There have been reporting of employees strangling a dog to get it to stop moving. STRANGLING A DOG. They cut theirs nails sometimes way too short or ”accidentally” clip a dogs ear off and the dog ends up BLEEDING TO DEATH. And after all of that they just turn around and offer the family, that loved their pet so much, JUST ANOTHER DOG. WHAT. THAT IS JUST SICK.

Rodent care: Now I don’t know much about caring for rodents as pets, but I have seen some pretty gory pics that show how bad they treat their animals. I’m not gonna get into real detail about it.

Cat care: Ok so you know how they have cats in those TINY “enclosures?” Have you seen them? I mean they are not fit for giving a LIVING THiNG a good life. It just makes me so mad.
